Bill started working at Dawsons in 1981 and has been a partner of the firm for over 30 years.  Bill has recently retired as a partner and is now a consultant to Dawsons. He has been primarily responsible for litigation in the firm and has a wide knowledge of family, commercial and property law, and a great deal of experience in the courtroom.  Bill has a reputation for quickly analysing a problem, finding a solution and obtaining the desired result.

Bill’s main passion is sailing. He has been a member of the Royal New Zealand Yacht Squadron for 30 years and was the Commodore from 2002 to 2004. He owns his own yacht and enjoys racing. His other interests include walking, reading and listening to jazz music.
